Fall Art Conservation Portfolio Day

The WUDPAC Portfolio Day attracted 41 potential students as well as partners and family. Participants came from as far away as Chicago and Dallas! On the annual event held October 7, 2009 at Winterthur Museum, students interested in applying to the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation (WUPAC) examined the portfolios of the entering class of graduate students and asked students and faculty for tips for getting into graduate programs. This year’s speaker was Art Conservation Fellow Lauren Bradley, who spoke on her technical studies of expressionist painter Chaim Soutine at the Barnes Foundation. Interested students and visitors toured the conservation labs in the Winterthur Research Building while current WUDPAC students explained their current conservation projects. It was a wonderful opportunity to share the work of our very talented fellows and to meet so many perspective conservation students.
