UD Seeking Book Donations for Conservation Program in Iraq

As part of an international initiative to establish a conservation training program in Iraq, the University of Delaware, in collaboration with AIC and others, is soliciting book donations in the hope of creating a library for the newly formed National Institute for the Preservation of Iraqi Cultural Heritage in Erbil, Iraq. The aim of the Institute is to meet the preservation needs of Iraqi cultural institutions and collections by training Iraqi professionals in conservation, museum management, and historic preservation.

An initial list of books needed for the founding of a library at the Institute has been posted by AIC but other texts are also welcomed. Each donated book will include a book plate in English, Arabic and Kurdish indicating the name of the donor.
