Art conservators and graduate students from the University of Delaware and Winterthur Museum & Country Estate continue important work on the restoration of Gulf Coast treasures damaged by Hurricane Katrina through a generous grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

This summer nine undergraduate and graduate level students intern in Biloxi, Mississippi stabilizing and treating objects damaged during the hurricane.

This project also offers Collection Recovery Workshops for Mississppi residents and cultural institutions. Several workshops are already scheduled for the summer and fall.

Plese visit the Gulf Coast Recovery Project website (External Link below) to read more about student work and workshops.
